Walking For Freedom

Did you know that slavery still existed? I didn’t until I found out about A21 during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was moved to action by the idea that people around the world were suffering. Did you even know that slavery existed? I didn’t.

That year was the first year that I walked for Freedom. I did 1k per day for 21 days. Last year I did my first walk with a group in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I am going to Conway, Arkansas to do my walk this year.

I hope you will join me in supporting this organization that does amazing things! This organization rescues victims, prosecutes perpetrators, helps victims become survivors, and provides prevention education to vulnerable populations. This organization is invested at every step of the way.

This year, as with prior years, I am fundraising. I’m inviting you to contribute a small amount to help free people enslaved worldwide. You can contribute HERE. My goal is $210. If 10 people contribute $21, if 21 people contribute $10 – it all makes a difference. The money we donate gets combined with the money that thousands of other people are donating to make a big difference.

You can also walk with us. Check out the walks that are happening around the world and learn more about Walk For Freedom visit A21.org/walk.

Here are the Facts:

Human trafficking is slavery.

a.) It’s the illegal trade of human beings.

b.) It’s the recruitment, control, and use of people for their bodies and for their labor.

Through force, fraud, and coercion, people everywhere are being bought and sold against their will–right now in the 21st century.

But, slavery is more stoppable than ever before. And that’s why we’re here, rallying around the world and doing the work together.

You may think that your contribution is nothing in the face of the need around the world. You may believe this isn’t happening in your country, state, city, or neighborhood. But the truth is, slaves are in plain sight, in dark rooms, in labor camps, everywhere. These are the cleaning people, the farm workers, and the construction crew members. These are people who are existing in places that are unthinkable and unbelievable. These are someone’s daughter, sister, brother, child, or mother. They are people who have been taken and kept against their will.

You can help. You can make a difference. Invest your time, your money, and your hope. Make a difference. Join me. Donate HERE. Find a walk HERE. Any funds you donate go directly to the organization. You don’t have to donate using any links on my page. You can check out the validity of the organization or review its financials and learn more at A21.org.

I believe in a world without slavery. Do you?

I pray you join me. In donating, in prayer, in walking. Join the conversation below, leave a prayer for those who are held in captivity, or let us know you’ve donated if you wish.
