Happy Happy

TODAY is the big day!!!

If you have been counting down with me for the last week, it’s finally here! For the past week, we’ve been counting down to our BlogIversary and the release of my first book Fierce: Surviving Domestic Violence One Step At A Time. This is also my birthday and the BlogIversary!

I am so thankful that I got to share this week with you. I am thankful that I got to share this year with you! Because my friend, this isn’t about me, it’s about Jesus and it’s about you. If I can point just one person to Jesus by writing words here, it makes it all worth it.

I’ve been giving you bits and pieces about Fierce for the last week. You can see yesterday’s post here. If you want to purchase Fierce on Amazon you may do so here.

I know the birthday person usually gets the gifts. Today is different for me. I was trying to think all week what I could do for you today and I think I have found the just-right thing! I’m so excited about it.

I know that for most victims and survivors the hardest part of changing our lives is changing our minds. I came up with a mantra at the beginning of the year: Change your mind Change your life. Success occurs in the mind. We have to believe it before we can achieve it.

Twelve years after beginning my road to recovery, I still struggle with negative thinking. I love, love, love positive quotes and images on social. They always seem to come at the right moment for me. Do you experience that too?

I have a board on Pinterest where I collect them. I plan to print them out for my journal and my mirror one day. Now, I plan to put these on my vision board. My beautiful friend – part of my vision is to know that I am worthy, loved, and enough. We struggle mightily with these feelings. I KNOW I am not the only one.

So, today, I am sharing TWO sets of positive affirmations with you. There are 16 images in each set. They are affirmations that I say to myself when I catch myself beating up on me. I want to share them to you because they are things that I say to you in Fierce. I want to encourage you so much. I want to point you to Jesus. I want to point you to loving you.

You matter lovely friend. You truly do, no matter what others have said to you. You are enough no matter how you believe you measure up. You are loved, seen, known as you walk through this world. You are a daughter to the King of the Universe. You are worthy of love. No matter what anyone says to you, no matter what you’re sitting in today, know it all the way to your heart.
