We Live By Faith

This is the second day of our countdown to the release of Fierce: Surviving Domestic Violence One Step at A Time. Plus we’re counting down to our BlogIversary (totally made that word up). Which also happens to be my birthday! Everything happens on May 27, 2021 AND I WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU!!!!

I’m so excited, I can hardly contain myself. 😁

It has occurred to me that you might want to know what Fierce is. Right? Okay, I’ll tell you and then I’ll get to the free downloads. (or you could really just scroll down and then scroll back up – I won’t tell).

What is it? Fierce: Surviving Domestic Violence One Step At A Time (lovingly known as Fierce) is a devotional for women who have left a domestic violence relationship and are struggling along.

Why should I buy it? The Fierce devotions bring her closer to connection with God, so she can heal. The first step is to go to him, second is to hang out with him, the third step is healing. Healing naturally flows from being in relationship with God. I don’t know how it works, I just know it does. I’ve seen it in my life and the lives of others.

Where do I get it? Fierce will be released on May 27, 2021 on Amazon Kindle. Right now, it’s only available as an e-book. I am currently working on turning it into a paper book as well. I will totally let you lovelies know when that is released too. You can click over to the store right on LLR and I will link it there.

Can I get a discount? I am absolutely working on creating a discount code for you. I will let you know as the day turns over how to get a code.

Now on to the Freebies!!!

Again, for today, the same as the other days this week, I have created 2 free downloadable verse prints for you. They are available in either PDF format or PNG format. Today’s verse is…

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV

Faith requires trust. Trust is built by getting to know God and hanging out with him. We can’t live by faith if we don’t have trust in God. It’s a simple process but it takes time.

It’s the same as meeting new people. We’re cautious of the relationship, not revealing everything about ourselves, and sharing information that’s public. When we are with people who are closer, trusted friends, we can tell them almost anything. Those people have shown, over time, that they will keep our private information to themselves and they won’t take advantage of us.

It takes time – reading the Bible and listening to other people’s stories. When you go to church, go to a group or study, hang out with others who know Jesus – they’ll tell you their story. The best way to know God is to know him through his actions.

In the Bible, you will hear stories about people being helped, a nation being created, and God lovingly watching over those he loves. You will hear about how he loved you so much that he moved heaven and earth to save you.

From the people in the church, you will hear how he guides, provides, and changes lives. You will hear that he responds to prayer and is moved into action to make miracles happen. He heals hearts and minds and souls.

As you learn all these things, you can look around and see where he has taken action in your own life. Maybe you’ll see where he provided, saved, or loved you where it seemed like all was lost. Maybe you’ll see where he guided you to a new place or healed you right where you were.

Then, when you can see and believe, you realize you have faith. You can walk in faith even when things are hard. You can walk in faith when things are good or when they’re bad. No matter what the situation, you can know that God has your back. That’s what faith is.

Happy BlogIversary! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more freebies. Also don’t forget to come back on May 27, 2021 to get your copy of Fierce: Surviving Domestic Violence One Step at a Time.
